Occupational First Aid Training

Basic First Aid (WSBC)

An 8-hour program 8 equips you with emergency skills needed to stabilize an injured person until trained help arrives. Areas covered include bleeding control, CPR and AED, and conscious and unconscious choking. 

Transportation endorsement

This course meets the needs of those responsible for transporting injured workers to medical aid from more remote settings (greater than 20 minutes transport time).

Intermediate First aid (wSBC)

A 16-hour program (excluding breaks) designed to provide the first aid attendant with the necessary skills to function as part of an effective first aid program in the work place.


Red Cross First Aid Training

EMERGENCY FIRST AID

Basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and CPR skills for the workplace or home. 

Duration

CPR A: 6.5 hours in-class OR 3.5 hours in-class + 4 hours online learning

CPR C: 7.5 hours in-class OR 4.5 hours in-class + 4 hours online learning

Recertification

CPR A: 4 hours in-class OR 3 hours in-class + 4 hours online learning

CPR C: 5 hours in-class OR 4 hours + 4 hours online learning

Standard First Aid

Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and CPR for those who need training due to work or want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home.

Duration

CPR A: 13 hours in-class OR 5.5 hours in-class + 8 hours online learning

CPR C: 14 hours in-class OR 7.5 hours in-class + 8 hours online learning

Recertification

CPR A: 6.5 hours in-class OR 3 hours in-class + 4 hours online learning

CPR C: 7.5 hours in-class OR 4 hours in-class + 4 hours online learning

LEVEL A CPR/AED

Provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults.

Duration

4 hours in-class OR 2 hours in-class + 3 hours online learning

LEVEL C CPR/ AED

Provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children and babies.

Duration

5 hours in-class OR 3 hours in-class + 3 hours online learning

Recertification 

3.5 hours in-class OR 2 hours online learning + 2.5 hours in class


Heart and Stroke - BLS

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)

In this course, you will learn the fundamental skills of high -quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for victims of all ages. You will practice delivering these skills as a single rescuer and as a member of a multi-rescuer team.

Duration 3.5 hours

Renewal 2 hours 50 minutes
